An Evening at Cucina Enoteca

If you're in the mood for inventive Italian cuisine with a modern twist, Cucina Enoteca is a must-visit. Nestled in the Irvine Spectrum, this stylish eatery combines rustic charm with a contemporary vibe, making it the perfect spot for a night out. I had the chance to indulge in some of their standout dishes recently, and let me just say—it was a meal to remember!

What We Ordered

Squash Blossoms

The squash blossoms were an absolute dream. Stuffed with creamy goat cheese, drizzled with orange blossom honey, and finished with a hint of pistou, these delicate bites were pure perfection. Every element complemented each other beautifully—the earthy goat cheese, the sweetness of the honey, and the fresh, herby kick from the pistou. This dish was easily my favorite of the night. A solid 10/10.

Torchio Alla Norma Pasta

Next up, the torchio alla norma was a comforting and flavorful bowl of pasta. With a base of rich tomato sauce, tender eggplant, caramelized onion, and a hint of heat from Calabrian chili, every bite was packed with flavor. Topped with ricotta salata and fresh basil, it was indulgent without feeling heavy.

To take it to the next level, I added sea bass on top—and wow, what a combination! The fish was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, flaky inside, adding a lightness to the hearty pasta.

Sheep Milk Yogurt Panna Cotta

For dessert, we tried the sheep milk yogurt panna cotta, which was the perfect way to end the meal. It wasn’t overly sweet, which made it all the more enjoyable—just a beautifully balanced dessert.
